Pizza Madona is a Montreal-based pizzeria in the Anjou area operating for over 10 years.
What they needed
Unlike most independent restaurants, Pizza Madona’s owner doesn’t want to expand into every social media network and play the viral content game, they have enough customers. Following a dispute with their previous web agency, what they were looking for was a single-page site with their photo menu, a phone number and opening hours. Simple stuff, why did they need us? They didn’t, one of our founders ordered a pizza and struck up a conversation. Sometimes you accidentally get someone overqualified for a gig.
What we did
As requested, we set up a simple single-page site with all the information that customers looking for on a local Montreal-based server for optimal speed. No CDN was used as it is a local business and wouldn’t benefit from being fast to load on the other side of the world.
As a bonus, we also made the website multilingual in French and English so tourists can find them as well.
Room for more
As the owners wished, we created a simple single-page site where you could find all their information however we built it on a multi-faceted CMS so they can integrate an online ordering system in the future and cut the delivery app middlemen should they run into issues with them in the future.
Though they didn’t ask us to do so, we understand that circumstances change so we proactively set things up so they could pivot their strategy quickly should the need arise without surprising them with a nasty price tag.
